It very much depends on your motivation for choosing La Cala Resort as your destination of choice.  If it’s to completely relax, unwind and switch off and your content to stay within the resort for the duration of your stay then you can arrange a transfer to and from your port of entry.  A minibus service operates from the hotel to the golf academy within the resort and during the months of July & August a shuttle operates to the beach clubs in our nearest village La Cala de Mijas. Bank Accounts

One of the first things you need to do when you have decided to buy in Spain is to open a Spanish bank account. It is also imperative to obtain an N.I.E. number (Spanish tax identity number) when purchasing property. Our Property Services Department can help you with this.

Telephone Internet and Broadband Connection

Each property is prepared for private telephone, community broadband and television connections.

After sales services

La Cala Resort can provide numerous services to property owners such as: cleaning, laundry, baby-sitting, catering, interior decorating, property maintenance, rental programme, etc.

Mortgages

If you need finance to purchase your property, there are several different options available to you, both in Spain and abroad.
If you decide to raise the funds abroad, you can do so by either re-mortgaging an existing property or by taking out a personal loan.
Alternatively, you may wish to consider securing the funds for completion through a Spanish mortgage.
There are virtually no exchange controls in Spain, which means that whether resident or not, you are free to obtain a loan or mortgage against your property in any currency and from any bank in the world. At the moment Spanish banks offer competitive mortgages with low interest rates to both residents and non-residents.

Community fees

The owners of some properties share common amenities with others such as landscaped gardens, swimming pools, on-site pool facilities, parking areas, lifts, security, etc.
The legal instrument that enables these common facilities to be managed and maintained is the ‘Community of Owners’.
The owner of each property is responsible for paying a proportion of the total annual costs borne by the Community.
A Community does have its own statutes which set out the rules governing it and these will bind you as the owner of a property in the Community.

Schools

There are recognised national and international private and public schools close-by.
