On most days you’ll find Tiia López serving our guests with a smile at our Clubhouse Bar & Restaurant, who joined our La Cala team in 2016. Born in Helsinki, Finland, Tiia has been living in Spain since 2007, when she initially came for a visit and decided to embark on her hospitality career along the Costa del Sol.

At La Cala, our frequent guests are always happy to see Tiia at any of our resort’s bars and restaurants, where she rotates depending on the season. Tiia truly enjoys interacting with our customers, which has enabled her to learn about the needs of our various international clientele that is valuable in her role. Through the years, she notices that the nationality mix of La Cala’s customers’ is ever changing.

Tiia states, “When I started, I conversed mainly in English, however today, I find myself speaking with our guests in Finnish daily as well as in Spanish. Every day is exciting at La Cala. I always look forward to welcoming our guests, and I believe that if I can make their day even better when I serve them, then I have succeeded.”
