Chef de Partie
Behind the scenes in La Bodega restaurant, you’ll find Paula, our Chef de Partie working alongside her team to prepare and present our newest menu offerings to our guests. She joined La Cala over five years ago where she initially rotated as a cook across all our restaurants, and in early 2023 she was promoted to her current role based solely at La Bodega.
Born and raised in Malaga, Paula takes pride in her work and is passionate about the Andalusian kitchen. Growing up she recalls looking forward to watching her favorite cooking shows together with her mother, and since an early age she yearned to become a chef. Prior to La Cala, Paula spent over two years gaining valuable experience working with the catering and restaurant divisions of celebrated Andalusian chef Dani Garcia in Madrid and Marbella.
Paula states, “In La Bodega we are a close team who share the same devotion to our cuisine and towards every dish that we produce, and this makes working together special. At dinner service when plates are returned empty, that makes me very happy.”
