Murdo McCorquodale with over 30 years’ experience as a PGA Golf Professional is always willing to help you perfect your game at our La Cala Golf Academy. With his roots in the Highlands of Scotland, Murdo acquired a passion for golf at an early age through his father, a former Scottish champion golf professional.
At age 17, Murdo turned Pro playing off a 1 handicap, and five years later he became one of the youngest Head Professionals in Scotland, taking up a post at a prestigious golf centre in Aberdeenshire. With a curious mind and a sense of adventure, he then continued his career teaching golf in Germany, Portugal, Egypt, and Fuerteventura. In 2016, Murdo joined La Cala Golf Academy where he offers both individual and group golf instruction for beginners and experienced players, together with his colleague and fellow pro Fabian Lozano.
Murdo recognizes that each golfer is built differently, and he tailors his classes based on the individual, rather than by a specific technical method. “It gives me great satisfaction when I see my students progress, and especially when they tell me that our lessons made a huge impact to their game. Golf is a way of life – It’s not only a healthy sport, but it helps you to achieve a happier lifestyle and offers a great social environment as well.”
