IT Manager
Juan José (Juanjo) Moreno celebrated 20 years of service as La Cala’s IT Manager since joining the company in 2004. Over the years, he has been instrumental in helping La Cala to meet the necessary technological requirements for both our current environment and for the future.
Juanjo recalls his early days, before the existence of fiber optic connectivity, when “La Cala and our surrounding communities were connected via one master antenna.” Since then, La Cala has made major strides in achieving various technological advances with the introduction of WiFi connectivity and a fully integrated property management system.
Recently, Juanjo’s efforts are focused on implementing a resort-wide project (Hotel, Spa, Clubhouse and Corporate Offices) to deliver higher speeds of connectivity, including within each of our hotel rooms with the placement of a dedicated WiFi access point. This will be rolled-out in a phased approach beginning in December 2024. Juanjo adds, “Being proactive instead of reactive is what I enjoy most in my role, and the opportunity to work together with my colleagues who I have known for many years.”
