One of the most anxiously-awaited tornaments is finally here! From the 26th to the 30th of November, La Cala Resort will hold a new edition of the long-standing competition whose slogan, “one tournament, three courses”, indicates the challening, yet compelling nature of the event. Over the course of four days, amateur golfers from all over the world will put their skills to the test by playing this exciting circuit.
The event is open to any amateur golfer with a valid license issued by the Real Federación Española de Golf or a certificate from another international golf federation.
La Cala GolfWorld Open is a unique opportunity to compete on three of the best golf courses in Andalusia. These courses stand out for their high standard of quality and for guaranteeing a memorable experience for the players. Following renovations this summer, the America course has become a “Premium” facility. It is a 6,009 metre, par-72 course with spectacular views of the Sierra de Ojen mountains and the Mediterranean. The Europe course is characterised by its size and versatility—6,014 metres, par-71. Meanwhile, the 5,925 metre, par-72 Asia course is the most difficult (technically speaking) and therefore, is one of the most competitive courses.
Becauses of the tournament, the resort is introducing some special offers which include a 5-night stay with buffet breakfast and three lunches as well as a picnic basket for competition days. This package is complemented by the Welcome Dinner, daily visits to the hydrotherapy spa and the Gala Dinner with trophy ceremony. There are also very complete, “Only Golf” packages, which are specially designed for local players and residents.
There are three prize categories. The player with the highest average score over the four days of the tournament will win the La Cala GolfWorld Open. Among others, prizes will also be awarded to the players with “the longest drive” and those who hit “closest to the pin”.
