Love seems to permeate everything when ceremonies and weddings are celebrated at our garden and resort. For the couple, and even for the guests, it is an extremely important moment and a very special day. The secret to success is a team that is just as passionate as it is creative and that thoughtfully takes care of everything until the very last detail. Their work will not only meet the couple’s expectations but will also happily exceed them.
What is it about La Cala Resort that inspires couples and convinces them to choose this location over other options?
The resort offers many very positive characteristics. Its location is ideal. It is in the heart of the Costa del Sol, but away from the hustle and bustle, and surrounded by nature. In addition, it enjoys spectacular panoramic views and an abundance of green space. ‘It’s a special place. It’s not a hotel or a restaurant—it’s something more,’ the Commercial Director of La Cala Resort Noemí Román assures. The key to their success lies in exceeding the traditional, offering an elegant style that is different to other weddings and celebrations.
For the team that designs these events, almost nothing is impossible. All effort is focused on meeting the needs of the couple and their guests. ‘We first think about what they need and then about how to give it to them’. The key is knowing how to listen and providing great advice—and the best way to do this is ‘to advise the client based on our experience with weddings and events from the very first time they come to visit us until the day of their wedding’.
‘It is truly beautiful to see how these couples combine their lives at La Cala Resort’
The big day is very special. That is why La Cala Resort only celebrates one wedding a day. To achieve the ‘exclusivity’ that each wedding deserves, the team studies the event weeks and even months in advance so that everything is perfect. ‘For us, a wedding is like the birth of our own baby. We spend more than nine months preparing for it, and on the day of the event, it is born. Afterwards, we like to follow up with our couples and see them come back for their anniversaries or to celebrate the baptisms or communions of their children,’ explains Román.
Among the novelties at the resort this year are updated menus that highlight the mastery of the new chef, Daniel García Peinado, expert in EVOO and recently, bronze medallist in the European final of the Global Chefs Challenge.
Our mission: Overcome challenges and exceed expectations
The La Cala Resort team has a very diverse and international clientele, which proves to be a very enriching characteristic. ‘We have faced many challenges—many different, strange, extravagant and funny requests. Here, we marry Spanish, French, English, Irish clients. There are many nationalities and each one has different customs and ideas. I remember one American couple particularly fondly, whose dream was to get married in Andalusia. The bride wanted to go to the altar by horseback. Everything was prepared to make that couple’s dream come true. Two days before the wedding, the bride tells us that she has never ridden a horse before. Can you imagine our surprise? Of course, we were able to solve the problem and her dream came true. This is the most beautiful and satisfying part of our work,’ says Noemí Román.
